<oTQ> Expectations and General Information
We, the Admins/Officers, have put this list together of the expectations and how we run things here at [of The Queue] in order to maintain the friendly and inclusive guild we all love.
1) Whether you’re a cutting edge Mythic raider elsewhere or just like to log in to ride around Azeroth, all are welcome here at [oTQ]. We don’t have general applications for membership. If you are at Commenter or higher guild rank, you’re able to invite people using /ginvite [playername].
2) However, to be part of [oTQ] we do ask that you have a positive attitude and are generally polite. Not everyone's personally fits perfectly with everyone else's and we understand that but please, try to use civil discourse with your fellow guildies.
3) Given that we now have two guilds running ([of The Queue] and [of The Queue Too]) type /join otq for all your guild chatter needs! This is a general channel we created so that everyone can chit chat regardless of which of the [oTQ] guilds you are playing in at any given moment.
4) In the same vein, we highly recommend the ~addon Identity-2~! Maintained by one of our own guildies, Identity-2 allows the user to display their main character or handle next to their character name in any chat message. The addon is absolutely optional but it does help to distinguish who you are when you are playing on an alt.
5) Since we are close to reaching max character capacity in [of The Queue] we ask that you have 1 main and up to 4 alts in [of The Queue] and kindly move your other alts past these guidelines to [of The Queue Too]. Your alts are still most definitely part of the [oTQ] family, we are simply trying to spread characters out across two guilds so everyone can join in the [oTQ] family (again, join our otq global channel)!
6) We do have minors and folks that don’t enjoy profanity-laced discussion, so, just like on BlizzardWatch, please keep the language and conversations PG-13. We get the occasional swear out of shock, frustration, or excitement but if swear words are being used as punctuation, that’s not so good.
7) We are here to help! There are usually quite a few people on that can answer your question, make you that thing, or give you a helping hand. Just ask! You’ll be surprised by the results.
8) Please keep in mind that you represent the [oTQ] guild out in the game world. We advise that you choose an appropriate name for your character and keep any sort of trolling/aggressive behavior to an absolute minimum. Smacking some sense into Trade Chat can occasionally be fun, but remember – don’t feed the trolls!
9) At its heart, [oTQ] is a social place where we strive to make all players feel welcome. As such, we take all personal attacks, whether it be in-game, on mumble, or in some other medium such as these forums or the Queue, very seriously. So seriously in fact, that we do not tolerate it; such actions will result in a ban, demotion, or swift removal from the guild. If a guildie is found to be attacking another guildie/player, they will be dealt with within 24 hours of the officers learning of the event. We want to keep [oTQ] a positive place for all who call this guild home, and that type of toxic behavior is not welcome nor accepted.
But really, a good rule of thumb is "Be excellent to each other". Have fun and see you in-game!

You guys have been incredibly well behaved so far, but just to be safe, we've to put together an official, standardized system for dealing with violations of the General Expectations.
We've established something that should deal effectively with incidents in such a way that offenses are duly punished but the offender is granted plenty of chances to improve their behavior before we resort to truly drastic measures. In addition, we've worked very hard to ensure that the system, while efficient, is not open to abuse should an altercation arise between an officer and a member; warnings (given in Mumble or, if that is unavailable, in a private party chat) require 2 officers to issue, and any gkick requires the unanimous support of all officers.
In the interest of transparency, we felt we should share the full system with you, so that everyone is on the same page about how we deal with offenses. It ended up being a little convoluted to explain, so we've drawn up a flowchart that should hopefully clarify our decision-making process (pictured to the left).
The demotion mentioned will be to the same Carbonite rank we use to store inactive characters.
In case of a gkick, any officer not responding within 24 hours will be considered to have abstained, in order to ensure that action is taken in a reasonable amount of time.
Please note that, while we intend to use this system for the majority of violations, we reserve the right to take drastic action against major offenses. We have a zero tolerance policy for harassment of/threats against other members; such behavior will result in an immediate motion to gkick.
All that being said, don't violate the General Expectations and you shan't have to worry about any of this! So go forth and be kind to your fellow Queuvians :)
